Mr. Martel’s patience and ability to explain things so clearly made a real difference in my understanding and ability to learn what I was doing. Patrick came to the rescue when my daughter was struggling exponentially with pre calculus. Because Patrick is a Learning Specialist, he offered not only expertise but also empathy. Patrick has the ability to “speak kid” and meet students where they are in their learning journey. My daughter not only improved academically, her grade went from a D to a C+, but for the first time in math, she felt seen. Patrick is beyond 5-star! Consider yourself blessed if you meet him. I was referred to Patrick because my 16-year-old son, who was diagnosed with severe dyslexia, was failing in school. He is an athlete with dreams of becoming a professional baseball player, but he struggled with reading and writing. This affected everything—his confidence, his tendency to overcompensate, his ego, and even his ability to play baseball because of his grades.
In just one week, my son went from failing his semester to passing. Within that week, he raised two of his grades, and now, in less than a month, he is achieving 100% scores. Patrick has also helped me understand how to meet my son’s specific needs, and I am now enrolling my other son, who is 15 and does not have dyslexia, to help him get organized and reach his own goals.
Patrick has completely transformed my family by giving us all the tools we needed. He is incredibly smart, kind, fun, calm, and yet highly motivating. I truly can’t say enough good things about him! He is a gift to my family and simply amazing at what he does!

Great Tutor! Patrick has worked with both of my boys off and on for five years. We have used him to help them through numerous high school math classes such as Algebra, Geometry, and Honors Trigonometry. When they went on to college he tutored them in Calculus and Business Statistics. His teaching method breaks down challenging concepts making the topic easier for the boys to understand. I would highly recommend Patrick for tutoring services.

Our son has been working with Patrick Martel as a weekly tutor since the start of middle school (about a year and a quarter). He is a good student but struggles with executive function skills and completes assignments more slowly than his peers. Patrick has helped him immensely. He can manage the complicated 7-day rotating schedule with far greater independence now than he could a year ago. He has many fewer missed or late assignments and stays on track to study for tests. In particular, rather than just overseeing the work, Patrick works with him to develop organizational strategies and study skills that he can utilize on days when they do not meet. We have seen a material change in our son's independence, preparation and confidence, and Patrick has played a huge role in this development. We enthusiastically recommend him!
